I know normally we share with you DIY's, recipes, and beauty tips. Today is a different post for me because its all about our newest household member, THOMAS! He's a special guy because he is our first family pet :) We got him about 4 weeks ago, and its been nothing but excitement since then. I seriously haven't had a cat in years, and I completely forgot about how much attention these little fur balls need. Plus I was shocked at how much $$ I spent to make him feel at home!
After three outings to get all his cat stuff, I looked back and almost returned everything (including the cat!) when I added up the bills. The first two nights we were miserable, and we were up every hour due to his whining and crying. He pooped in our bed twice and once on the new couch over the next few days. After all that I was wondering what the hell I got myself into!!
But how could you not love this little face?! He is about 8 weeks old now so you can imagine how tiny he was when we first brought him home. He is a total boy and a complete terror at times, but when he cuddles he is a super sweetheart.
Stella absolutely loves him and carries him around wherever she goes. Sometimes I think she is in her playroom playing dress up with him. Despite the fact that my poor husband's eyes will itch and turn red since he's allergic to cats, he was kind enough to say yes to our newest baby. We love having this little boy around and luckily for my husband he's not in a house completely full of girls anymore.
*Here's a tip I have never heard before: When I got him from a private house he did have a few fleas. I went to the store and was going to buy some special shampoo for him but the salesman said Thomas was too little for the chemicals. He had told me to just wash him with Dawn Dish Soap. Let the bubbles sit for five minutes then rinse them off. All the fleas were dead, and I do not have to fear flea bombing my house ever again! This boy gets baths once a week to be safe and for my peace of mind!

I love this! Great tip on the wash too!
